Dripper
Yield for anS is managed by the Dripper contract, which gradually distributes rewards to anS holders. This approach smooths out the otherwise uneven yield generated by the Sonic Network staking system. By doing so, the Dripper enhances the user experience and prevents attackers from front-running large yield events.
How the Dripper Works
Reward Generation:
Staking S tokens on the Sonic Network generates rewards, paid in S tokens.
Harvesting Rewards:
A user calls the
harvest
function to harvest the S tokens.
Dripper Allocation:
The harvested S tokens are added to the Dripperβs balance.
Gradual Distribution:
The Dripper gradually releases S tokens to the Vault at a predetermined drip rate, ensuring a steady yield flow.
Daily Vault Collection:
The Vault collects the available S tokens from the Dripper once daily.
Wallet Growth:
As the Vaultβs S token balance grows, all anS holders see the number of anS tokens in their wallets increase proportionally, reflecting their share of the distributed yield.
Key Features of the anS Dripper
Yield Smoothing: The Dripper prevents spikes in yield distribution, creating a more predictable and user-friendly experience.
Anti-Front-Running Protection: By spreading rewards over time, the Dripper minimizes opportunities for attackers to exploit large yield events.
Configurable Duration: The current Dripper cycle is set to a 7-day duration, ensuring consistent and timely distribution of rewards.
Why Use the Dripper?
The Dripper contract makes anS an even more robust liquid staking token by delivering a reliable, secure, and seamless yield experience. This innovative mechanism ensures that staking S tokens with anS not only provides decentralized and secure rewards but also does so in a way that prioritizes fairness and usability for all holders.
